11+ results: St Gabriel's Adriel top performing girl

When Adriel Bayrd joined around 3,300 students sitting the Barbados Secondary School’s Entrance Examination this year, she settled down in her chair, blocked out all distractions, and set to work. 

The test, more commonly known as the Common Entrance or 11-Plus, was done at a number of testing centres across the island on Tuesday, May 7, 2019. 

The results were returned on Monday, June 17 and this student of the St. Gabriel’s School she came out on top. In Mathematics, her raw score was 99 converted, 119.18. In English, her raw score was 97 and converted 122.62, it made for a converted score of 242.43 C, and will, come September, see her heading to Harrison College.

Adriel told LOOP NEWS she was thankful to God that her hard work paid off and she was looking forward to the new challenge ahead.  Watch below:
