4 children among 8 injured in three-vehicle accident

The Royal Barbados Police Force is conducting an investigation into a three-vehicle accident which occurred sometime around 8:30 pm last night on Duncan’s Road, St. Philip, which resulted in eight persons being injured - four children and four adults.

The first vehicle was being driven by Ricardo Hunte, 52 years of Edgecumbe, St. Philip. The second vehicle was being driven by Cha Yearwood, 23 years, of Grassfield, St. Philip, who was accompanied by her three children: a ten-month-old twin and a four-year-old child. The third vehicle was being driven by Anderson Barker, 61 years, of #2 Eastbourne, St. Philip, who was accompanied by his wife and grandchild.

Hunte complained about pain to his chest. Yearwood complained about pain to her left shoulder, while the twins received lacerations to the fingers and the 4-year-old an abrasion to her left side.

Barker and his wife both complained about pain to the chest, while their grandson did not complain of any pain.

The injured were all transported to the QEH by ambulance for medical attention.
