Six types of luncheon meat by four brands have been recalled.
HIPAC Limited has issued a voluntary recall of the following items:
Eve Luncheon Meat (300g), Eve Chicken Luncheon Meat (300g), Home Chicken Luncheon Meat (330g), Vana Chicken Luncheon Meat (300g), Family Choice Chicken Luncheon Meat (300g) and Family Choice Luncheon Meat (300g).
Eve is distributed by Hanschell Inniss Ltd., Fontabelle, St. Michael and the Home, Vana and Family Choice products are distributed by Massy Distribution (Barbados) Ltd., Spring Garden Highway, St. Michael.
According to a voluntary recall notice issued, the recall is due to a possible defect in the package that could lead to potential product spoilage.
The cans have a best before date range of June 26, 2019, to July 25, 2019.
HIPAC Limited in their statement said as the manufacturer of these products, we wish to advise consumers that all steps have been taken with our trade partners to ensure that any of these products are quickly recovered and discarded.
Members of the public have been advised to return it to the respective Distributors.
HIPAC Limited initiated the voluntary recall in an abundance of caution and in keeping with its policy of maintaining stringent quality standards.
