UPDATE: Four injured in St Peter accident

UPDATE [5:45 p.m.]: The Royal Barbados Police Force provided updated information on this accident in the following press release:

Police are conducting investigation into an accident with injuries which occurred sometime around 11:00 am, on Tuesday the 19th of September 2017, along Whitehall Main Road, St. Peter, involving two (2) motor cars. Four (4) persons were injured as a result of this collision.

The first motor car was being driven by Eudora Cumberbatch, 73 years of Blackbess, St. Peter. Whilst, the second motor car was being driven by Jamal Agard 29 years of Eden Lodge St.Micheal, who was accompanied by a 26-year-old female and a 4-year-old girl.

Eudora Cumberbatch complained about pain to the chest and head and received abrasions to her right knee. 

Jamal Agard received a laceration to his right shoulder, a puncture to his right armpit, and lacerations to his right wrist and hip. His female passenger complained of pain to the head, and right side of the body, whilst the 4-year-old girl complained about pain to her right shoulder.

They were all transported to the QEH by ambulance for medical attention. Two (2) Fire Tenders, and nine (9) Fire Officers, under the command of Acting Chief Deputy Fire Officer Errol Gaskin, responded to the scene of the accident.



The road at Whitehall, St James was closed today, as an accident left several persons injured.

While police confirmed the collision, they could not provide details as to how many persons were injured or the extent of their injuries.

Officials from the Royal Barbados Police Force, Barbados Fire Service and ambulances responded.
