Accused allegedly said: 'Call the police 'cause I don't care'

A 37-year-old man denied using threatening and abusive words towards a woman when he appeared in the District 'A' Magistrates' Court yesterday.

The prosecution alleged that sometime between April 14 and 15, Randy Elridge Gilbert Lynch, of Quarry Road, Eden Lodge, St. Michael told Tamisha Mayers:

"You is a dog, you is a wh*** and a sl*t and if I see you with anyone at your mother's place I going to brek you up and you can call the police 'cause I don't care... Go to the police 'cause every time I see you I going to tell you something."

The alleged outburst is said to have caused her harassment, alarm or distress.

Lynch pleaded not guilty before Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant and was granted $3000 bail. He was ordered to stay away from the complainant and return to court on September 20.
