The Ministry of Education, Technological and Vocational Training reminds parents and guardians that all public schools will be closed at noon on, Tuesday, September 17.
The early closure is to facilitate meetings called by the Barbados Union of Teachers (BUT) and the Barbados Secondary Teachers’ Union (BSTU).
The Ministry thanks parents and guardians for their understanding.
Twenty school experienced delayed start due to industrial cleaning which needed to be carried out. Material sanitisation, furniture repositioning, equipping of school meals serving areas and allowing teachers to stage their classrooms also needed to be done at some schools before students could be readmitted.
Up to today September 16, two schools, St. John Primary and Eagle Hall Primary, still were not ready to accept students.
