UPDATE: Police identify man found dead in bushy track

UPDATE: The Royal Barbados Police Force (RBPF) has released the name of the adult male whose body was discovered in a bushy area in St. Michael on Tuesday evening.

The deceased is 68-year-old Tyrone Austin of Free Hill in Black Rock, St. Michael. Investigations are continuing into the circumstances surrounding the unnatural death of Austin. His body was found around 5:35 pm on December 18 at Paradise Heights, at the entrance to a heavily vegetated track.

This as the Royal Barbados Police Force investigates the discovery of a body in a St Michael community yesterday.

Acting Public Relations Officer with the Force, Sergeant Michael Blackman, gave details on the "unnatural death at Paradise Heights, St Michael":

"Sometime around 5:35 pm the body of an adult male was discovered at Paradise Heights, St Michael, at the entrance to a heavily vegetated track."

While this person is yet to be identified by police, he urged the public to provide any details they could that would assist police with their investigation:

"Anyone who can provide information that assist in these investigations is asked to contact Police Emergency at 211, Crime Stoppers at 1800TIPS District A Police Station at 4307270 or 4307223, or any police station."
