UPDATE: Two stab victims in stable condition after lunchtime incident

Police have indicated that two boys are still hospitalized following the stabbing incident at their school two days ago, Tuesday, February 6, 2018.

The police update stated that one of the boys was treated and discharged, while the other two boys are in stable condition.

Serious injuries incurred during school stabbing incident today during their lunch break.

Police are conducting investigations into a stabbing incident which occurred sometime around 12:30 pm, today, Tuesday the 6th of February 2018, whilst at a rural school in the north of the island, which resulted in three 15-year-old boys receiving stab wounds, and a 12-year-old girl being struck by a stone.

Preliminary investigations revealed that during the lunch break two (2) groups of boys became involved in an altercation. As a result, three 15-year-old boys were stabbed multiple times about the body, and a 12-year-old girl struck on her thigh by a stone thrown during the melee.

The three boys were transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) by ambulance for medical attention, whilst the 12-year-old girl received private medical attention.

Two of the boys are in stable condition, whilst the third is listed as being in serious condition.

Two boys ages 16 and 14 years old are assisting police in their investigations.

Another stabbing incident involving students

Police have confirmed that there has been a stabbing incident involving schoolchildren.

No details are being released by the police as yet, however, Police spokesperson Roland Cobbler has told Loop News that he is aware of the incident and from reports reaching him, involved are students from a rural secondary school.

This incident follows a similar incident last week aboard a school bus which saw four students being transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) for treatment after being wounded. The incident occurred on Wednesday, January 31, 2018, along the West Coast.
