UPDATE: Another teen charged for Kadooment Day shooting

UPDATE [September 13, 11:15 a.m.]:

Wilson appeared before Magistrate Kristie Cuffie-Sargeant in the District 'A' Magistrates Court this morning and was remanded to HMP Dodds.

On exiting the No. 2 criminal court, under police escort, he waved to people in the courtyard.

Wilson is expected to return to court with the three other co-accused on September 26.


Police have arrested and charged a fourth person in connection with the shooting on Spring Garden on Kadooment Day, August 7, 2017 that resulted in 23 persons receiving gunshot injuries.

He is Diego Rayshawn Wilson, 17 years, of Spencers Gap, Baxters Road, St. Michael. 

He was charged for 23 counts of Endangering Life and one count of Violent Disorder.

Wilson is expected to appear in the District ‘A’ Magistrates Court on Wednesday, September 13.

Two other teens and a man in his early twenties were all previously charged for the same incident. They are Elijah Copeland, 17 years, Raheem Grimes, 17, and Tristan Alleyne, 22 years.

They are currently on remand at Her Majesty's Prison Dodds.
