Baby pronounced dead at Sandy Crest, after nursery check

St. Peter parents are mourning the passing of their three-month-old baby boy.
Their son, Neymar Jules was left in the care of nursery staff yesterday morning.
The distraught parents are 28-year-old Mishika Jules and 34-year-old Andre Skeete both of Boscobelle, St. Peter.
Acting Police Public Relations Officer, Sargeant Michael Blackman told the media:
"Police are conducting investigations into the circumstances surrounding the unnatural death of an infant male who was pronounced dead on Monday, December 10, 2018, at 5:03 pm at the Sandy Crest Medical Centre. He is Neymar Jules."
The police report further stated that yesterday, sometime during the morning, the child’s mother took him to the Day Care and Pre-school where he was registered and left him in the care of the staff there.
There was a routine check of the infant in the afternoon and during this check, the child appeared unresponsive. He was transported to the Sandy Crest Medical Centre for medical aid where his death was pronounced.
Police are continuing investigations into this matter.
