Bail for driver charged with causing death by dangerous driving
A 37-year-old man charged with causing the death of a man by dangerous driving was granted $10 000 bail.
He is Kevin Bertie Anderson Hinds, of Maycock Terrace, St Lucy. Hinds was not required to plead to the offence which occurred on May 25.
Forty-five-year-old Mark Griffith of Broomesfield, St Lucy was the front seat passenger of a car driven by Hinds when it was involved in an accident. Griffith lost his life as a result of the crash. The accident occurred between Hothersal Turning and the Norman Niles Roundabout.
As part of his bail conditions, Hinds must report to Crab Hill Police Station every Wednesday by 10:00 a.m.
The matter was adjourned until October 20, 2018, when Hinds will appear in the District 'A' Traffic Court.
