There is a saying, 'Don't cry over spilt milk', but Bajans have been on a local radio call-in programme harping on and on and in an uproar over evaporated milk.

Some callers today, Wednesday, November 21, 2018, said that purchasing the new one-litre cartoon of evaporated milk was not economical for them in this financial climate, and others complained that because of how frequently they use the milk, the larger size was spoiling before they could best utilise all of it.

And they were most upset that 'Pine Hill Dairy is not making the small one anymore'. These persons were referring to the 250ml tetra pak.

However, a representative from the Corporate Affairs Department of Banks Holdings Limited (BHL) has quickly clarified that the 250ml-size is still in production.

"Please note that the claim that our 250ml PINEHILL evaporated milk has been discontinued is absolutely false.

"Some outlets have reported a depletion in their stocks, which happens from time to time, but the product will be back on all shelves shortly."

Pine Hill Dairy is a subsidiary of the BHL Group of Companies. PINEHILL trades as Barbados Dairy Industries Ltd. The BHL Group is a subsidiary of Ambev.
