Lawmen say he had just parked his vehicle when an explosion was heard.

He called out for help and a family member came to his assistance.

The police and an ambulance were called, but on arrival, ambulance personnel found Agard, who would have celebrated his 55th birthday next month, showed no signs of life and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

This incident brings the number of homicides for the year so far to 34.

Lawmen are appealing for any information that aid in their investigations and have urged the public to contact the District C Police Station, the Police Emergency number or Crime Stoppers 1-800 TIPS (8477) to offer any assistance with their investigation.
