Barbados Traffic Report – Fake number plates a headache
Here is a look at our roads and the major concerns this morning.
According to the Royal Barbados Police Force, Traffic Division, drivers being warned not to drive with fake number plates.
It’s been an accident-free morning so far.
Despite the fact that there are no accidents reported, all roads are “busy, busy, busy”.
This is according to Sergeant Seibert Johnson of the Traffic Division.
He said there is traffic on all major roads and congestion at the usual roundabouts – Sargeants Village and Top Rock especially.
There is still traffic bumper-to-bumper from Maxwell down to Worthing and onto Rockley in Christ Church after 9:00 am.
Sergeant Johnson told Loop Traffic:
“The concerns are the same, persons still driving about without taxes and insurance, fraudulent number plates.
“Believe it or not, people getting number plates made and affixing them to vehicles. They are not even registered anywhere, never were registered before. These are the things we are faced with.”
“Continue to exercise care,” he advised.
Drive safely and have a good day!
