Barbados Traffic Report - Still too many accidents at roundabouts
Here is a look at conditions on our roads and any major concerns for the morning.
There were no accidents reported to police for the morning.
Traffic is extremely heavy across the nation at this time.
"There are still a lot of accidents at roundabouts, especially at the D'Arcy Scott Roundabout in Warrens."
This was the concern expressed by Constable David Alleyne of the Royal Barbados Police Force's Traffic Division.
He stressed that it is bad habits causing most of them:
"One of the main problems is people making late decisions and causing rear-end collisions.
"Added to this persons are driving distracted - by cellphones especially."
He urged drivers to change their habits and be more cautious on our roads.
"We have to change our driving habits, accidents don't happen, they are caused - so pay attention to what is happening around you.
"If you practice certain things it would become a habit."
Be safe on our roads
