Barbados Traffic Report - Stop overshooting junctions
Here is a look at conditions on our roads and any major concerns for the morning.
No accidents have been reported to police for the morning.
There are moderate flows of traffic across major roads at this time.
Sergeant Seibert Johnson is urging drivers to approach junctions cautiously and stop in the appropriate areas. He stressed this morning that the Royal Barbados Police Force continues to see too many persons forcing their vehicles ahead at roundabouts, something he warned they can be prosecuted for:
"Persons coming from minor roads onto major roads will force their vehicle in the path of the vehicle on their right."
He cautioned motorists that this is dangerous and "can lead you to some problems," while warning them that they could be prosecuted on two bases:
"That is an obstruction, it is an offence and is also overshooting a junction."
Take extra care when approaching junctions to ensure you do not overshoot them.
Be careful on our roads!
