Raymond Reifer took two wickets in the final over to end the Trinbago Knight Riders bid for an unprecedented hat-trick of Caribbean Premier League titles, and record a 12-run win for the Barbados Tridents.

TKR looked out of the match at 129 for 7 before a blistering, 22-ball half-century by Sekkuge Prasanna took the Knight Riders to within 14 runs of victory with two overs to go.

However, Harry Guerney conceded only six runs off the 19th over and took the wicket of Chris Jordan to bring the Tridents back into contention.

Reifer then bowled Prasanna (51) off the first ball of the 20th over and then had Khary Pierre (0) caught two balls later to bring victory for the Tridents.

Earlier, an unbroken 48-run partnership off 14 balls between Raymond Reifer (24 not out) and Ashley Nurse (24 not out) pulled the Tridents from a precarious 112-6 to 160-6 in their 20 overs.

The Barbados Tridents face the unbeaten Guyana Amazon Warriors in the 2019 Caribbean Premier League final on Saturday night at the Brian Lara Stadium, Tarouba.
