Barbados Weather Report - A cool August 16 start to the weekend
Across Barbados, it should be another cool day as the Atlantic high-pressure system brings fair to partly cloudy skies., some haze, breezes with a few brief showers.
Later in the night, as a tropical wave approaches the island, the Barbados Meteorological Service says it will be fair to partly cloudy and breezy at first becoming increasingly cloudy with some scattered showers near dawn.
The winds today will be blowing from the East to East North East at 25 to 40km/h while later in the evening they will be generally Easterly between 20 and 40 km/h.
Sea conditions are expected to be moderate in open water with swells between 1.5m to 2.0m.
The maximum temperature recorded yesterday was 31.6°C and it dropped in the night to a minimum of 26.9°C.
