Barbados Weather Report: Daytime heat gives way to cool night, Oct 12
As Barbadians set about their usual Saturday routine, they’ve been greeted by temperatures that feel on the far end of the 30s.
According to forecasters at the Barbados Meteorological Service, it is currently 30.0⁰C but feels like 37⁰C, with a 22km/h breeze coming from the south-east. They say this is a result of a weak ridge pattern which has been affecting the island and should change later this evening as a tropical wave approaches the region.
It is expected to be partly cloudy at first, becoming increasingly cloudy with scattered showered tomorrow, as daybreak nears.
With the wind earlier in the day blowing in from the East to South East at between 10 and 25 km/h, some shifting East North East to the East is expected later in the afternoon. The seas meantime will be slight to moderate in open water with swells of 1.0m to 1.5m.
Sunrise over Barbados was at 5:48 am and it is expected that it will set around 5:41 pm.
The maximum temperature recorded yesterday morning was 31.0⁰C and it dropped to a low of 26.0⁰C overnight.
