Barbados Weather Report - Sunny November start, but more rains coming
November 1 marks the start of month-long celebration to commemorate Barbados’ 53rd anniversary of independence and, though many woke up to sunny and bright skies, and beautiful sunshine.
The sun rose at 5:52 am and it is expected to set around 5:32 pm.
Throughout yesterday, the temperature was a cooler 28.8⁰C during the morning and dropped to a minimum temperature of 26.4⁰C during the night.
But despite the almost picture-perfect start to the month today, the forecasters at the Barbados Meteorological Service says to look out for some heavy rains.
Weak surface to mid-level instability is affecting the island and as a result, Friday morning into the afternoon will be partly cloudy to occasionally cloudy with some scattered showers. In the evening, they say to expect partly cloudy to occasionally cloudy conditions, with some scattered showers and a slight chance of isolated thunderstorms mainly after midnight.
The winds are expected to blow in today from the East North East to East South East at 10 to 25 km/h, while the Seas will be moderate to rough in open water with swells from 2.0m to 3.0m. Sea bathers and small craft operators are reminded of a High Surf Advisory and Small Craft advisory which is in effect until 6 pm on Saturday, November 2.
