Barbados Weather Report - Tropical wave approaching on August 1.

As Barbadians reflect this Emancipation Day and the final push of the 2019 Crop Over season gets underway, it is looking like some rain will be coming as the weekend approaches.

The Barbados Meteorological Service says a Tropical Wave is approaching the island and as a result, today, August 1, 2019, will be partly cloudy to occasionally cloudy with some scattered showers for the greater part of the day.  However, as nighttime falls, and that Tropical Wave starts to affect the island, it will be generally cloudy with some scattered showers.

The winds today blowing East North East to the East at between 10 and 25 km/h while the seas are expected to be slight to moderate in open water with swells of 1.0m to 1.5m.

Sunrise was at 5:44 a.m. and it should set around 6:26 p.m.

The maximum temperature recorded yesterday morning was 30.6⁰C, while overnight it dropped to a low of 25.6⁰C overnight.
