Barbados Weather Report - A tropical wave approaching later on July 11

According to the Barbados Meteorological Service, the Atlantic high-pressure system is the dominant feature affecting the island today, however, they also advise that a tropical wave is approaching the island.  As a result, throughout the day, it should be fair to partly cloudy and breezy at times, with a few brief isolated showers.  In the afternoon, it should be fair to breezy at times with a few isolated showers at first, but it will become increasingly cloudy and breezy, with scattered showers and possible isolated thunderstorms beyond midnight.

Throughout the day, on Thursday, the winds will be at between 20 to 35 km/h, while in the afternoon, they should be blowing from the East to East North East at between 20 to 40 km/h.     

The seas are expected to be slight to moderate in open waters with swells between 1.0m and 2.0m.

Sunrise this morning was at 5:39 a.m. and sunset should be around 6:29 p.m.

The maximum temperature recorded yesterday was 31.2⁰C and it dropped to a low of 26.1⁰C overnight.
