Barbados Weather Report - Tropical wave approaching on Sept. 12
With a current temperature hovering around 31.1 degrees, Barbadians, for most of the day been complaining about the temperatures on the outside.
According to the Barbados Meteorological Service at Charnocks, Christ Church, at midday, it felt like a sweltering 37 with winds blowing from the South at 13 km/h.
The forecast for today says weak unstable conditions are expected to affect the island today as a tropical wave approaches the island and Meteorologists say it will be fair at first becoming partly cloudy to cloudy at times with some scattered showers and possible isolated thunderstorms during the afternoon.
They also note that as the wave approaches, tonight will be partly cloudy to occasionally cloudy with some scattered showers and possible isolated thunderstorms.
Winds today will be light and variable but will become East to East South Easterly, between 10 and 25 km/h.
The seas are expected to be slight to moderate in open water with swells of 0.5m to 1.5m
