Barbados Weather Report - Tropical wave approaching on September 26
A surface to mid-level ridge is the dominant feature across Barbados, and, as a result, Met officials say this morning into this afternoon will be fair to partly cloudy with a few scattered showers. They also note that later this evening, it will be fair to partly cloudy with a few isolated showers at first, becoming partly cloudy to cloudy with a few scattered showers after midnight. This, as a tropical wave begins to affect the island.
The winds today will be from the East to East South East at between 15 to 30 km/h but later in the day, the direction will change and will be blowing in from the East North East to the East.
Throughout the day, the seas will be slight to moderate in open water with swells from 1.0m to 2.0m.
