Barbados weather report - Tropical waves dumps rain on June 19

Here’s the weather report for Barbados, Wednesday, June 19, 2019.

According to the Barbados Meteorological Services, a tropical wave is affecting the island today, but by tonight an Atlantic high-pressure system will be the dominant feature affecting the island.

This morning and afternoon are expected to be generally cloudy to overcast, hazy and windy with some showers and possible isolated thunderstorms.

This evening into tonight is predicted to be generally cloudy, hazy and windy with scattered showers at first becoming fair to partly cloudy hazy and windy.

Apparent temperature: 34⁰C

Winds are generally easterly at 30 to 45 km/h with higher gusts near showers.

The sun rose at 5:33 am and will set at 6:27 pm this evening.

Throughout yesterday, the temperature reached a high of 32.2⁰C during the morning and dropped to a minimum temperature of 26.8⁰C during the night.

Seabathers and seacraft operators can expect moderate in open water with swells from to 2.0m to 2.5m.
Small craft operators and sea bathers should exercise caution.
