Outstanding performers in both of those matches earned a spot in this week’s Team of the Week.

Formation: 1-4-4-2

Coach: Fitzgerald Carter (Empire)

Goalkeeper: Christopher Wilson (Empire) - The Jamaican shot-stopper was in top form last weekend against Claytons Kola Tonic Notre Dame.

He produced a series of outstanding saves to preserve his clean sheet and also earn his team a 2-0 victory; moving them into third position in Zone 1.

Defenders:

Right Back: Jamar Austin (Ellerton) - Austin displayed his best performance of the season as he helped his team to defeat Mark’s Auto Spares Porey Spring 4-1 last weekend.

Austin was aggressive, athletic and intelligent, especially in attack, which caused Porey Spring all types of issues.

Right Center Back: Tito Beckles (UWI) - the commanding Beckles was very dominant against Home Improvement Hardware Compton.

His leadership and aggression played a critical part in nullifying Compton’s attacks but more importantly securing three vital points in their 66-0 triumph.

Left Center Back: Germain Hughes (UWI) - the Anguillan national captain was cool, composed and steps ahead of the Compton attackers, he was also instrumental in initiating his team’s attack from deep positions.

Left Back: Alvin Chapman (UWI) - the former national defender displayed the qualities which earned him a spot in the national team before.

Offensively he was top quality, providing an assist on the night and defensively when called upon he was equally as impressive.

Midfielders:

Right Midfield: Shaquan Clarke (Ellerton)- the TOTW debutant was Ellerton’s best player on the evening, he was direct, fast and effective, scoring one of his team’s four goals versus Porey Spring.

Right Center Midfield: Omani Leacock (BDFSP) - since his return, the national youth player has been in sublime form.

He continued his rich run of form with a hat trick as his team won 5-0 against Rendezvous FC.

Left Center Midfield: Romario Harewood (Wales) - two goals and an assist sees Harewood making the roster for the third consecutive week.

His displays have been critical to Wales’ dominance this season and will be critical if they are to retain the title this season.

Left Midfield: Hadan Holligan (Wales) - A hat-trick from the diminutive attacker, saw him move to the top of the goal scoring charts with eight goals in 10 matches, while taking his team 10 points clear at the top of Zone 1.

Forwards:

Right Forward: Chai Lloyd (Paradise)- Lloyd’s two goals versus Brittons Hill helped his team to a much needed 3-0 victory as the Dover boys push towards claiming that second position spot in Zone 1.

Left Forward: Mario Harte (UWI) - the UWI captain returned to his brilliant best as he scored three goals against Compton and led his team to a 6-0 victory.
