UPDATE: Missing Christ Church youth found dead at sea


The identity of the male whose body was pulled from the waters at Needham's Point Beach on Monday, December 9, 2019 has been released by Police. 

Just after 11 pm, police gave confirmation that the male is 20-year-old Zavier Morris of Parish Land in Christ Church. 

Around 10 am on the same day, police were alerted by a call from the captain of a vessel who reported that he had seen a body of a man floating in the area of the Hilton Hotel. The Barbados Coast Guard was summoned and Morris' body was retrieved from the water about 300 meters off the area of the St Ann's Fort, St Michael. 

The body, which was in a state of partial decomposition, was taken ashore and later viewed by family members at the Two Sons Funeral Home.

The deceased was reported missing by family and was last seen at Paris Gap, Westbury Road in St Michael on December 4, 2019. 



Members of the Royal Barbados Police Force (RBPF) are on the scene in the area of Needham's Point, St Michael.

A body of an adult male was taken from the water by personnel from the Barbados Coast Guard today, Monday December 9. 

The identity of the deceased is yet to be confirmed by police.

Investigations are continuing and an update will follow.
