Boxing Day shooting kills City residents’ Christmas spirit

Gun shots disrupted Boxing Day festivities and traditions in areas around Bridgetown.

The loud explosions heard at Reed Street left one man nursing serious gunshot wounds.

Police reported that about 9.10pm last night, Thursday, December 26, the shooting incident occurred. Jamal Thomas, 26 years of Chapman Lane, St Michael was shot in the face by a person unknown to him. Chapman is to the west of the Reed Street area. He was transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) by ambulance. 

As police investigations continue the Force is asking anyone who can provide any information that can assist with this investigation to contact the Central Police Station at 430-7676, Police Emergency 211, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477(TIPS) or any police station.
