Brazen mall shooting suspect remanded to Dodds

A twenty-one-year-old man has been remanded to HMP Dodds in relation to the brazen murder of a St. Philip man.

The detectives of the Major Crime Unit have arrested and formally charged Hakeem Roberto Stuart of Shelbourne Gap, St. Lawrence, Christ Church, for the following offences which occurred
on March 21, 2019, whilst at Sheraton Centre in Sargeants Village, Christ Church:

1. That he murdered Damian Trotman of Foursquare, St. Phillip.
2. That he recklessly or unlawfully discharged a firearm in a public place to wit Sheraton Centre that placed a number of persons in danger of death or serious bodily harm

He appeared at the Bridgetown Magistrates’ Court today, Saturday, March 30, 2019, before Magistrate Graveney Bannister where he was not required to plead to the indictable offences.

He was remanded into custody to HMP Dodds and is scheduled to reappear at the District ‘B’ Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, April 3, 2019.
