Bullets ring out in the road, family relieved only vehicle damaged

A family is this morning thankful to be alive and well.

This after their vehicle was damaged during a shooting at Tudor Bridge, St Michael last night, adding yet another incident for police to investigate with Christmas a few days away.

Acting Public Relations Officer with the Royal Barbados Police Force, Sergeant Michael Blackman, told the media about this incident:

"Police responded to a shooting report about 8:30 pm at Marshall and Parkinson Road, Tudor Bridge, St Michael. 

"On arrival police learnt that a man visited the area of Seales Avenue with his girlfriend and kids to attend  an event, on reaching the area he saw a white vehicle travelling in his direction with an unidentified bareback male in pursuit on foot and shooting."

He added that while the vehicle was damaged none of the occupants was injured: 

"The vehicle the complainant was driving received damage to the front windshield. No one reported injuries.

"Investigations are continuing."
