Burst main capped; BWA trucks out in St. Lucy, St. Philip for issues

The Barbados Water Authority (BWA) is working assiduously to ensure that water is not wasted.
In a press release released today, Wednesday, May 15, 2019l, the BWA informed the public that today, it sustained and has completed repairs to a burst on a 9-inch main in Belle Gully, St. Michael.
The repairs may have resulted in water outages or low pressure in the following areas:
Haggatt Hall, St. Barnabas, the Pine, Wildey, Clapham, Flagstaff, Highgate, Fort George Heights, Upton and surrounding districts.
While repairs are completed and the water has been turned back on, the Authority’s tanker crews dispatched in the affected areas, will continue to assist customers until the water supply is back to normal.
Other Investigations being Conducted
The Authority is also today carrying out repairs to a burst main in Bush Hall Yard Gap, St. Michael, as well as investigations into reports of suspected burst mains in Massiah Street & Rosegate, St. John; the Crane and Dodds in St. Philip.
Crews are have also been dispatched to address reports of low water pressure in Harrises, St. Lucy.
The Barbados Water Authority sincerely apologized for the inconvenience caused.
