BWA: Reservoir levels still low

The Barbados Water Authority (BWA) would like to remind customers in parts of St. Michael and St. James affected by water outages, that repairs to a damaged 18-inch main in Free Hill, Black Rock were completed and pumping from the St. Stephen’s Pumping Station resumed on the evening of Tuesday, August 20.

The BWA stated it will take some time for levels at the Lodge Hill and Cave Hill Reservoirs, which feed the affected areas, to increase. In the interim, the Authority’s water tankers will continue to assist residents.

The Authority is also still being impacted by low levels at its Warleigh and Golden Ridge facilities.

Please remember that the Authority may be contacted at 434-4292 or via Facebook to report or address any issues customers may be experiencing.

The Barbados Water Authority regrets the inconvenience this disruption has caused and assures its valued customers of its commitment to the continuous delivery of water to all.
