Car destroyed by fire while at workshop 

2019 is starting off very similar to the way it ended for the members of the emergency services in Barbados - busy.

In addition to a fire which extensively damaged the Souse Factory and reports of gunshots in a St Michael community, a car was completely destroyed by fire today as well.

The Royal Barbados Police Force is reporting that a vehicle owned by Christopher Sealey was burnt around 2:00 am today.

Acting Public Relations Officer with the Force, Station Sergeant Michael Blackman (ag) confirmed the incident:

"About 2:00 am police responded to a report of a car fire at Whitehall Main Road, St Michael.

"On arrival, police learnt that a motor vehicle owned by Christopher Sealey of Brittons Hill, St Michael was completely destroyed by fire, whilst at the workshop of Livingstone Brewster at Whitehall Main Road, St Michael."
