From October 31, Caribbean Airlines will be offering flights to Guyana from Barbados.

The new route is supposed to be a weekly regional flight between the Grantley Adams International Airport and the Eugene F Correia International Airport, also known as the Ogle International Airport because of its location in Ogle, Georgetown, Guyana.

The airline will introduce three weekly, non-stop return flights on Monday, Friday and Saturday.

Chief Executive Officer of Caribbean Airlines, Garvin Medera stated: “Fulfilling the needs of our customers motivates all that we do, and the launch of service between Ogle and Barbados, is in direct response to stakeholder feedback.

"We value the loyalty and support of our customers and it is heartening that in the midst of the pandemic, we are able to introduce these new flights between Ogle and Barbados. Our teams are looking forward to connecting families and friends.

"We assure you that Caribbean Airlines observes safety protocols which are aligned with the highest international standards for the protection and well-being of our customers and employees.”

These services to and from Ogle, will complement the airline’s current operations at Cheddi Jagan International Airport, facilitating onward international connections to the UK and beyond and regional connections including St Vincent, Grenada, Dominica, St Vincent, St Lucia and other Caribbean Airlines destinations.
