Cayman: 8 more positive COVID-19 cases; 53 total

According Dr Lee, Chief Medical Officer of Cayman, Cayman now has 53 positive cases of COVID-19. This is after an additional 8 positive COVID-19 cases were confirmed at today's government COVID-19 press briefing.

This consists of two positive cases who were connected to previous positive cases and another six whose backgrounds continue to be investigated.

There is a long-term case that was in Health City for unrelated reasons and there are another two cases that are in the hospital directly for COVID-19.

All positive cases continue to be sent to CARPHA for confirmation as well as 10 per cent of all negative cases. 

Of all the tests that have been run, 483 tests have been negative and 536 tests have been run in total. This is a 10 per cent positive rate.
