Cayman now has 14 cases of COVID-19 with community transmission

The Chief Medical Officer Dr John Lee in the Cayman Islands has confirmed that they now have community transmission of COVID-19.

As of the most recent batch of tests, there are two COVID-positive patients with no travel history. Eleven cases returned today were negative.

The cumulative results as of March 31 are as follows: 205 negatives, 14 positives and one inconclusive totalling 220 tests.

There are no inpatients in the hospital with COVID-19.

All of the positive cases are either better or are in isolation at home. Contact tracing is being done.

According to Dr Lee, no one should leave home if there is no need. If people have to leave home they should wear a mask.
