The court case which gripped the region earlier this year involving 23-year-old Vincentian former model, Yugge Farrell has officially been put to bed.

Farrell made an appearance before Kingstown Senior Magistrate Rickie Burnett on Monday in connection with an insulting language charge which involved Karen Duncan-Gonsalves- wife of the SVG Minister of Finance, Camillo Gonsalves.

The charge alleged that on January 4, 2018, Farrell used insulting language to Duncan-Gonsalves by calling her “a dirty b***h” to which the accused had entered a plea of not guilty.

Farrell spent one month in court-ordered psychiatric evaluation after she was charged, placing the young lady at the center of regional conversation with many activists coming forward to rally on her behalf.

In yesterday’s court appearance, the Magistrate dismissed the charge for want of prosecution.

Barbadian Queen’s Counsel, Andrew Pilgrim, who had taken over the case on January 29, did not appear in court on Monday.
