Children to get Payless back-to-school shoes
The excitement of choosing a spanking new pair of school shoes for the new school term will be gifted to 200 deserving Barbadian children when the Shoes 4 Kids TM program from Payless ShoeSource makes its back-to-school debut this year.
Payless will continue its partnership with Variety, the Children’s Charity of Barbados by treating the first thirty children to an exciting shopping day complete with in-store entertainment and a scrumptious lunch to get their school year off to an inspirational start.
Ivan Diaz, District Leader and Barbados Country Manager, Payless ShoeSource, said Payless was excited about the back-to-School event. He said management and staff at the Hastings, Christ Church store were eager to welcome the children, and ensure that they all received the perfect fit in their shoe size. This year’s Shoes 4 Kids program would be an extra special one, as it was the first to be held in time for back-to-school, rather than the usual Christmas period.
"We are really pleased this year to launch Kids Month in September, coinciding with the very important back-to-school shopping period. This year Payless will ensure that at least 200 of the most deserving students can step out in a brand new pair of great quality school shoes to get them off on the right foot. Variety, the Children’s Charity of Barbados has partnered with us from the inception of this program and we again thank them for their role in selecting the deserving children who will benefit." Ivan Diaz, Barbados Country Manager.
Payless will present Variety with a total of 200 gift coupons valued at BBD. $50.00 each, and redeemable at any of Payless’ five locations in Barbados at Sky Mall, Haggatt Hall; Hastings Plaza, Christ Church; Broad Street, Bridgetown; Sheraton Centre; and The Walk, Welches.
