UPDATE: Men released after mall brawl [Sunday 28 October, 9:50 am]:

The two men involved in a brawl at Sheraton Mall in Sargeants Village, Christ Church yesterday were not charged.

Word of this comes from Acting Public Relations Officer for the Royal Barbados Police Force, Sargeant Michael Blackman:

"On Saturday, October 27th, 2018 police officers responded to reports of a fight in progress at Sheraton Mall.

"Investigations led to two males being taken into custody, further investigations were carried out and both males were released from police custody without charge."

ORIGINAL POST: Mall brawl brought a sea of police 

Police jeeps converged on Sheraton Mall in Sargeants Village, Christ Church this afternoon after receiving a call about a disturbance.

The jeeps and officers were located by the entrances to the Mall from the inner carpark.

Acting Public Relations Officer for the Royal Barbados Police Force, Sargeant Michael Blackman confirmed the incident and said that it occurred sometime this afternoon.

He said, "Police are carrying out investigations into reports of a fight at Sheraton Mall... Two men are currently assisting with investigations."

He did not disclose names nor ages of the men.
