A raid conducted by the Royal Barbados Police Force (RBPF) has resulted in a Christ Church man being remanded.
On Monday, December 23, police conducted an operation at Brydens Avenue in Britton’s Hill, St. Michael where Kemar Peter Jamal Ward of Parish Land, Christ Church was apprehended with a .45 calibre semi automatic pistol in his possession.
A warrant to search was subsequently conducted at his Parish Land residence and a quantity of vegetable matter, suspected to be cannabis was found. The accused was later charged with possession of one .45 calibre semiautomatic pistol without a valid licence, possession of cannabis with intent to supply and trafficking of cannabis.
On Friday, December 27, Ward appeared at the District ‘A’ Criminal Court before Magistrate Douglas Frederick and was remanded into custody to HMP Dodds.
He is scheduled to reappear on Tuesday, January 7 2019 at the District ‘B’ Court to answer to the drug charges and is also scheduled to reappear on Monday, January 20, 2019 at the District ‘A’ Criminal Court Number 2.
