COVID-19 Update: One recovered patient gets discharged

Another person has beat COVID-19.
The patient will be discharged from the isolation facility at Harrison Point in St Lucy, today (September 18) after recovering from COVID-19. The negative result was among 301 tests returned by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory today.
With this recovery, the number of confirmed cases remains at 185, comprising 98 women and 87 men, while the number of recoveries moves to 172. There are only six active cases now.
The laboratory has now completed 21,069 tests.
Barbados latest positive was recorded on September 16, two days ago.
The patient is an eight-year-old girl who arrived on British Airways on September 15 to visit Barbados. She tested positive for COVID-19, and is now in isolation.
The child, who is asymptomatic, was accompanied by her parents, who both tested negative. Theirs were among 224 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory.
Meanwhile, two people will be discharged from isolation at the same time after recovering from COVID-19.
