COVID-19 Update: Young Bajan woman tests positive on her retest

A Barbadian national who returned the island on Saturday has tested positive during her retest.

The 26-year-old was the only positive test result for COVID-19 among the 302 tests done by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory yesterday (September 3).

She arrived on JetBlue on August 29 and was positive for COVID-19 when retested yesterday.

Meanwhile, three people will be discharged from the isolation facility at Harrison Point in St Lucy today after recovering from the viral illness.

There are now 18 active cases on sisland. 

Of the 178 confirmed cases recorded in Barbados since March 16, 2020, 153 have recovered. The country's tally comprises 92 females and 86 males.

The Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory has completed 17,979 tests.
