CSEC results back today for Caribbean students

The Caribbean Examinations Council  (CXC) is working to make the examination result release process glitch free and less frustrating for those who sat exams in May/June 2019.

With this goal in mind, the results are being dropped in a staggered approached.

Barbadians can start checking at 11:15 am today, August 15, 2019.

On August 12, CXC was pleased to announce their new system for the releasing of May/June 2019 CAPE® and CSEC® examination results. The CAPE® release date was August 13. Today is the date for CSEC®.

Noting that the results are highly anticipated by students in order to determine how they performed in their examinations and how they will proceed on their educational journeys, with some educational institutions commencing next week, the Council is aiming for a seamless reveal.

In a statement on the CXC website they said:

"In the past, students may have experienced access issues due to the high volume of traffic received on the CXC website, where the results were scheduled to be released at 10:00 pm EST, on release dates. This year, in order to ensure that students have easy access to the results portal, CXC will release results at varying times throughout the day.

"The new approach will mean decreased numbers of students visiting the website at one specific time. Results will be released to specific countries for a window of time between two to three hours on release dates.

"Subsequently, results will be available freely until the portal is closed."
