DJ Puffy to juggle Trinidad and Dominica Carnivals

Barbados’ Andre ‘DJ Puffy’ Parris will play in Trinidad and Dominica for their 2017 Carnivals.

His manager, Matthew Ashby told Loop:

“He will be in and out of Trinidad for parties.

“But he is only on the road for Dominica Carnival.”

Dominica Carnival and Trinidad Carnival are both being held Monday, February 27 and February 28, 2017.

Then Puffy is set to return to Trinidad for Ash Wednesday, March 1, 2017.

Ashby who was sitting trying to finalise the plans and hectic schedule for DJ Puffy said:

“The demand is pretty high now. I’m here trying to shave off things now. So the demand is high in Trinidad for sure!”

Asked if the bookings were rolling in like this before DJ Puffy made history by winning the 2016 RedBull Thre3style World Championship in Chile earlier this month, Ashby said:

“I would say that it [the demand] was there before the RedBull competition, but obviously it’s turned up to another level now after the competition, but it was already hectic before.”

In Trinidad, people can look for DJ Puffy at many events including Soca Brainwash with DJ Private Ryan, ValeVibe Cooler Fete, I am Soca, Ruk-A-Tuk Premium Breakfast Cruise and more after kicking off the 2017 Carnival Season on board Artikal’s Soca and Ice Cooler Cruise on Saturday, January 7, 2017.

DJ Puffy told Loop that it feels good to be on the cards for both Carnivals in these two islands.

“Those will be my last couple of Caribbean gigs for a while, so I’m looking forward to them,” he added.

This will also be DJ Puffy’s first time playing in the Land of Many Rivers.
