Contestants in Cave Shepherd's annual Staff Easter Bonnet parade
The Easter Bunny hopped off with the main prize recently as the Cave Shepherd held its annual Bonnet Parade for team members of the island’s largest department store.
The hat, worn by Sandra Bryan of the Product Category Department, was the piece de resistance for the pink and white Easter Bunny costume and her white leather designer leather shoes.
To the cheers of customers gathered on the top floor along with her colleagues, she strutted her stuff, sharing out goodies from her basket to the Chief Judge Ali Sandiford, Cassandra Crawford and Gail Wiles; also taking away the People’s Choice prize.
Mark Anthony Thornhill, Customer Service Manager with Duty Free Caribbean, a partnership of Cave Shepherd and DUFRY Holdings Switzerland told Loop News this was the sixth year for the event and it seems to get bigger each time.
“Everyone, team members, customers look forward to this presentation. It is an opportunity for the team members across the board to work together. They get the hats, the accessories and some on so on, and spend a bit of time creating the hats.
“It really is a team building and team bonding exercise for one, but it also gives them the opportunity to show the creativity among team members. . .. Cave shepherd is a different place, it is not just a store, we are indeed a family,” he said.
Arlene Taylor placed second while Shereen Haniff from the first floor was third and Kathleen Murray took away the fourth prize.
