Ellerton picking up steam in BFA Premier League

Mark’s Auto Spares Porey Springs' winless Barbados Football Association (BFA) Premier League run continued last Saturday night, at the BFA Wildey Astroturf.

After 10 matches, the Premiership new boys have accumulated six points; six draws and four defeats.

Their latest defeat came against a rejuvenated Crane and Equipment Ellerton, who easily brushed aside Porey Springs 4-1.

Ellerton signaled their intentions swiftly and within four minutes were up 1-0, thanks to a goal by Shaquan Clarke.

The score would remain until the break but the St George representatives would step into another gear in the second half.

Three goals in 23 minutes would provide a comfortable gap, but more importantly three points for Ellerton as they seek to secure second position in Zone 2.

Anson Barrow doubled the lead in the 67th minute, while there were also goals for Shurland Roberts in the 84th minute and Shaine Hermas in the 90th minute.

Porey Springs lone contributor to the score sheet was Shakir Skeete in the 79th minute.
