Empire SC continued their dominance in Zone 2 of the Barbados Football Association (BFA) Premier League with a masterful and commanding display last Saturday night at the BFA Wildey Turf.
“The Blues” from Bank Hall dismissed bottom-placed Youth Milan FC 4-0 and opened a three point gap at the top of the group table.
It was a quality attacking display in the first half which saw Empire score each of their goals in sublime fashion.
With a number of players out via injury and suspension, Empire were still able to exhibit their class and dominance against a dilapidated Youth Milan outfit.
Brazilian maestro Daniel Calvi led the Empire attack and scored two goals in the 26th and 40th minutes. HE was ably assisted in the goal scoring department by Zacherie Browne in the 31st minute and Kenroy Joseph five minutes.
Empire moved onto 35 points, narrowly leading the Barbados Defense Force Sports Programme (BDFSP) who have played a game less than the “Blues”.
Youth Milan is almost certain to face the relegation playoffs as they have earned a mere nine points from their 15 encounters and are 14 points adrift the closest team.
