Expect water outages with emergency shutdown

Some Barbadians may be experiencing the discomfort of dry taps right now.

Nevertheless, the Barbados Water Authority is stressing that water tankers will be dispatched to assist in the affected areas.

The BWA informed residents and businesses serviced by the Lodge Hill and Shop Hill Distribution systems, that it will be conducting emergency work today on the Waterford Pumping Station.

That means that customers in parts of St Michael, St James and St Thomas may experience low pressure or water outage until the problem has been rectified.

These areas may include Warrens, Jackson, Cave Hill, Lodge Terrace, Airlie Tenantry and surrounding districts in St Michael, Prior Park and surrounding districts in St James and Redman’s Village, Cue Land, Bagatelle Terrace, Welches and surrounding districts in St Thomas.
