Created : 17 January 2019
Two thousand dollars bail was granted to a woman who appeared in a Bridgetown court yesterday.
This came after Akilah Sharifa Dornita Thornhill, 28, of 71 Edgehill, St Thomas denied a charge brought against her.
Thornhill is accused of failing to make a payment, on an existing liability, to her creditor when she was expected to do so. The amount involved in the offence which allegedly occurred sometime between September 13, 2017 and July 12, 2018, is $4000.
There were no objections to bail and the matter was adjourned until April 4, 2019.
The accused, who was represented by lawyer Jamila Rawlins, was ordered to report to District "A" Police Station every Tuesday before 9 a.m.
The matter was heard in the District "A" Magistrates' Court.
