How has your involvement in sports aided/impacted your ability to be a father?

Shavi loves football and it has a positive and negative impact on him, which I realized after a game.

I had scored two goals and he was celebrating the goals the way I did.  He then asked, “Daddy why when you missed the goal for your hat trick you used a bad word”?

I said, “daddy used the word out of frustration”.

Shavi asked’ “daddy did you think that was right thing to do’?

I replied and said, “No it wasn’t right Shav and I’m sorry”.

He then said, “okay, don’t do it again”.

That could have been a different outcome, acceptance and apology helped the situation.
